Just like so many other politicians, he won't take a negative position on Israel. The USA wears Israel around it's neck like a dead albatross, 10 BILLION per year up front plus guns, missiles, atomic bombs, jets for free and a guaranteed that they will get as much oil as they want. F**K THAT

According to http://www.JohnsonForAmerica.com, Gary Johnson was known for:

* Vetoing 750 bills (more than all the vetoes of the other 49 Governors combined) and over 1000 line items.
* Reducing taxes $123 million annually.
* Shrinking the size of state government by 1200 employees.
* Eliminating the state’s budget deficit.
* Leaving the state government with all-time high bond ratings.
* Enacting major welfare reform, which cut government welfare spending by 30%.
* Shifting state Medicaid to managed care.
* Bringing the New Mexico state government and the Navajo nation leadership together to finally resolve century-old disputes over water, gaming, and other issues.
* Privatizing half of the prisons in the state.
* Shooting down campaign finance legislation.
* Attracting many new private and parochial schools into the state.
* Repealing the Little Davis-Bacon Act, thereby allowing non-unionized labor the ability to be employed in construction of new schools and other public works.
* Overseeing the construction of 500 miles of new, four-lane highway (designed, financed, built, and guaranteed by the private sector).
* Running 100% positive campaigns, never mentioning his opponents once in print or ads.
* Coming from outside of politics with no political machine behind him to beat a former Republican Governor in the Republican primaries and then unseat an incumbent Democrat Governor in the general election by a 10 point victory margin, even at a time when Democrats outnumbered Republicans 2-1 in the state.

What I really like about Gary is his fiscal conservatism. Just look at his track record as Governor and tell me that he does not have the credentials to state his case on how to start fixing this nation's debt. I think that America's deficit is the greatest issue facing this nation and Gary is poised to jump in and start making a difference. He just launched a new website and a facebook page. I, for one, am ready to show my support:

Look at the interview; he already blames the NM legislature for not doing what he wanted.

Forget president; the big-government republicrats would just override his vetoes. I hope he tries to serve on capitol hill. That might be less impressive, but would be an actual step toward making things better. Then we'd just need a few hundred more like him.

I also hope he joins a more credible party.

I am a Conservative-Libertarian registered Republican. Hannity is a registered New York Conservative. Cheney and Rush are the voices of conscience, mostly.

Your type of guys eschew the Republican Platform and are Light Lefties, land sometimes not so light.

That position IS the libertarian perspective, I'll vote for him in a second but I will concede, with the likes of Cheney,Limbaugh,Hannity and others being the voice of the Party, it will be a monumental task getting someone like him nominated.

Good interview. He is like Ron Paul.

Any candidate who defends troop withdrawal removal from Iraq and Afghanistan will have a difficult time gaining support from a good amount of Republicans.

There is an argument to be made for both sides, but I have yet to see a convincing argument for removing troops from Iraq and Afghanistan from a libertarian perspective.
