Well, this is a superb piece on our two excellent Libertarian candidates. However, I regretfully think that the tension between conservatives and libertarians in the Republican is going to deepen over the next year, and we are going to learn that libertarians are really not welcome in the Republican Party at all

I wouldn't say that the institutional libertarians have been "anti-Paul" necessarily, but I think most have them have come out much more strongly for Johnson. They were all Paul voters 3 years ago, so they can't dislike the guy that much!

I really don't see the "institutional libertarians" as being anti-Paul/pro-Johnson. I think you are confusing the pushback against the Rockwell/Raimondo smearbund as an opposition to Ron Paul, but that is not the case. Rather I see them making the same arguments as you, that two libertarian candidates are better than one.

Kyle, you have done an exceptional job of thinking and expressing yourself. This is the first time I've seen these two candidates, their audiences and their fundamental approaches to the idea and cause of liberty presented in a way that makes it easy to grasp. Kudos to you on that.

I would add only two things to what you have done here.

First, the REAL issue facing America and the world is humanity's choice of liberty or slavery as the true Nature we all share. So, LIBERTY itself is our core standard and focus - not the faces, names or personalities carrying its banner. Self-interest has no place in this challenge to our most fundamental human value. The faster we get this and apply to ourselves individually and collectively, the sooner the tides will turn.

Therefore, it is up to those of us who are involved in the liberty movement to support BOTH of these excellent liberty candidates through educating our families, neighbors and communities. WE need to do the groundwork effectively. It matters not which methods are used as long as the outcome/answer is liberty. In fact, each candidate proves out and supports the others' approach. (2+3)=5=(1+4)

With the above concepts in mind, we can leverage our own efforts to get the word out by EDUCATING OURSELVES on BOTH perspectives. Doing so pays off in ability to choose strategically to address each individual or group according to whichever is most likely to get their attention and support of LIBERTY - mirroring the candidates' tag-teaming. It makes no sense whatsoever to think in terms of "either-or", which is a standard propaganda tactic incited by globalists. They would LOVE for us to fall for that.

Second, I would take this one step further. Working individually within each candidate's campaign is the best approach to educate and draw mainstreamers into waking up. But joining forces at the end - becoming running mates - leverages all assets responding to Liberty's call into a single, powerful flow with the very real capacity to win in 2012...and beyond.
