The RLC’s 2009 National Convention was held in Jacksonville, Florida and hosted by the Republican Liberty Caucus of Northeast Florida from March 27-29, 2009.
Below are some photos from the extraordinary affair, which included over 75 RLC delegates and 200 dinner guests.
BUSINESS SESSION PHOTOS

The room was packed full of RLC delegates.

Parliamentarian Louis Rose, Chair-elect Dave Nalle, Vice-Chair-elect Mark Cross, and Secretary-elect Aaron Biterman.

Delegates looked on as business was conducted.

Mark Cross conducted the elections to fill new RLC Board positions while Louis Rose, Dave Nalle, and Aaron Biterman looked on.

Florida delegate Cliff Johnson reviewed the by-laws while Maryland delegate Cindy Jones listened to the debate over proposed changes to the RLC’s by-laws.

Dave Shields of the Northeast Florida RLC kindly provided transportation from the airport to the hotel for delegates. Above, Dave and other Florida delegates listened as delegates discussed the RLC’s by-laws.

RLC Secretary Aaron Biterman wrote the names of members interested in Officer positions.

Members took a break from business to relax with fellow RLC’ers while catching some rays.

Dean Santoro gave an all-star speech about his bid for office in 2008.

RLCFL Vice-Chair-elect Steven Talcott Smith hands a RLC Activism Guide binder (filled with successful tips for activists and candidates) to another RLC member.

Kimberly Wells talked to delegates about the creative tools she developed for the RLC Activism Guide.

Two members discussed campaign tactics before the dinner began.

Will Pitts led the dinner off with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mike Church, pictured with Cliff and Veronica Johnson, was the first speaker.

Talk radio host Mike Church left the stage after entertaining the crowd and after introducing Reagan Aide Dan Quiggle.

The featured speaker was Lawrence W. Reed of the Foundation on Economic Education, pictured above. Reed spoke about the Federal Reserve and the Great Depression.

Dinner guests, including Phil Blumel and John Orlando, were thrilled to network with other liberty-lovers.

Delegates looked on as awards were given out to their fellow RLC activists.

Chair-elect Dave Nalle handed Sarah Lovett her award for outstanding activism.

RLC Secretary Aaron Biterman handed Mark Cross his award from the Florida RLC for his efforts in the Sunshine State.

Mark Cross handed Will Pitts his award for activism in Northeast Florida. Cross, the current RLCFL Chair, is also turning the state RLC Chairmanship over to Pitts.
