She is a speaker, writer, producer, and teacher with a background in live theater, event coordination, and video production. Ms. Crocket is passionate about teaching and conducts her seminars and lectures in an innovative and unique way. She calls it “edutainment.” She is also a singer and is able to perform a wide range of styles, from rock n’ roll to opera. Ms. Crockett is also the author of seven books, three plays, and countless poems. She also coaches political candidates on technique, interpretation, and stage presence. DR. JIM FORSYTHE is the part owner and Director of Research for Cobalt Solutions, LLC, an aerospace design and engineering company. He is an Air Force veteran, who served as a decorated pilot and aircraft commander in operations over Bosnia and Iraq. Dr. Forsythe received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Wichita State University. He has served as professor at the Air Force Academy. Dr. Forsythe is Chair of the Strafford Republican Town Committee and the Strafford Taxpayer’s Coalition. He is Chair of the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire.

As a child and teenager he lived in Syria, Iran, Jordan, England and the Soviet Union and traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and Central Asia. PENN PFIFFNER is a former State Representative from Colorado. He is a Senior Fellow with the Independence Institute and the former Director of the Fiscal Policy Center at the Independence Institute. ROBERT POOLE, a RLC member, is a national expert on transportation studies. His main speaking topic is “Market Approaches to Florida Transportation Issues.” He currently serves as President of the Reason Foundation, a free-market think tank. Mr. Poole has advised the last four presidential administrations on transportation and policy issues. His 1988 policy paper proposing privately financed toll lanes to relieve congestion directly inspired California’s landmark private tollway law (AB 680), which authorized four pilot toll projects including the successful 91 Express Lanes in Orange County. More than 20 other states and the federal government have since enacted similar public-private partnership legislation. Poole is credited as the first person to use the term “privatization” to refer to the contracting-out of public services and is the author of the first-ever book on privatization, Cutting Back City Hall, published by Universe Books in 1980. Mr. Poole earned his B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and completed graduate work in operations research at New York University. He resides in south Florida.

Mr. Szoka, a RLC member, received his Bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University and his juris doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. Mr. Szoka’s practice focuses on the communications, new media and space industries. He has experience in satellite licensing, FCC enforcement actions, equipment authorizations, wireless services, and telecommunications relay services for the hearing-impaired.
