Along with religion, it is the reason I debate my involvement with Republicans. David Boaz put it succinctly when he wrote " Democrats want to be your mommy, Republicans want to be your daddy, Libertarians want to treat yo like an adult." National government is not the place to discuss social or moral issues. It sways with the tide every time there is a regime change. For me, social issues such as this are a real bane for the GOP. Along with religion, it is the reason I debate my involvement with Republicans.
