So many of the statements are true because both sides are no longer concerned with what is best for the country as they are with what is best for "me". It takes money to run a re-election campaign and unfortunately big business and big unions (one in the same if you ask me) will help fund those asspirations(intentional mispelling). When need elected officials who come back to their districts and listen to the people they represent. So long as most of our elected officials remain in D.C., we will never have a government that represent the core values of true conservatism or for that matter a government representing the people.

I wish so much of what you have written were not the case, but unfortunately it is so. For too many Republicans, a foreign adventure under Republican leadership is wise and good while the same tactic under Democratic leadership is terrible. Of course the same holds true for the Democratic rank and file too. Very disappointing.
