The first is that I appreciate your statement that Haugen has a right to support anyone he likes. We're certainly in agreement there! This statement, however: "a better candidate more in line with GOP values was defeated by the voters..." strikes me as incorrect. Regardless of the strengths and weaknesses of Mr. Chappell's candidacy, the fact that Haugen won with a striking 70% of the vote represents to me that his values are quite well in line with those of a majority of GOP voters. Also, please note that this is taking place in the *first* district, not the third. I’m Haugen’s campaign manager, and two things strike me here. This statement, however:
