This was a reasoned point of view that won the day. Also on immigration, there is no coordination with the Romney campaign but I hope to God they pay attention to what has happened in Texas. So for the national Republican party has been outmanuvered on immigration. Their was no fix as to immigration, in 2010 unforunately the Chairman Wayne Christian tabled the discussion on immigration which truly was a huge blow to any discussion for the party to have and actually address it. I want to point out that the allies that were formed at the convention did not have a set plank in mind, trust me if it was organized before time the language would be diferent. The coming together of Minute Men militia with Hispanic Republican groups, Border Watch Groups with former Federal prosecutors with party leaders is testament to the power of having an attitude of problem solving. Tom Mechler's testimony for the new plank was strong because his point was made that we had to address and solve the issue not just point out the problems with it. His analogy to the Obamacare situation was spot on. Thank you Dave, I hope to work with you in the future to grow our party!
